Why Choose Erothots, Fashion Studio And Beauty Salon

Most studios ask you to take their word for it. We publish every standard we work to on the page for the service it belongs to, in plain language, so choosing us is a decision you can check rather than one you have to trust.

The Short Answer, In Six Lines

If you read nothing else on this page, read these. Every one of them is written on a service page somewhere on this site, which means you can hold us to it rather than take it on faith.

Reason 01

Standards You Can Audit

Wax spatulas binned after one dip. Makeup brushes washed between clients. Nail tools autoclaved. On the page, not implied by a photograph of a clean counter.

Reason 02

The Full Time You Booked

Sixty minutes means sixty minutes of hands on you. Consultation and changing time sit outside the booking instead of quietly taking ten minutes out of it.

Reason 03

Agreed Before It Starts

Massage pressure on a scale of one to five. Bikini style confirmed before you undress. Bridal looks photographed under flash six weeks out.

Reason 04

Artists Named And Requestable

Sixteen artists you can ask for by name. For bridal and color, the person who does your trial does your day, with no substitution.

Reason 05

Prices Match Everywhere

Homepage, service page and the desk. Nothing is added at checkout that was not agreed when you booked, and quotes go out in writing.

Reason 06

We Say What Will Not Work

Including when the honest answer costs us the booking. That is the part most places skip, and it is the reason the rest of this list is worth believing.

One Dip Per Spatula, Then The Bin

Section 02

Standards Published In Public

Hygiene is the thing nobody asks about and everybody should. So instead of a reassuring sentence, here is the actual list, and every item on it appears on the service page it belongs to.

  • One dip per spatula, then binned. Double dipping puts whatever was on your skin back into a shared pot kept warm at working temperature. The wax is not hot enough to sterilize anything.
  • Makeup brushes washed between clients. Not wiped on a towel. Washed, sanitized and dried, with a second full kit in rotation so a clean set is always ready.
  • Nail tools autoclaved, files single use. Anything that cannot be sterilized is used once and discarded. No exceptions and no shortcuts on a busy Saturday.
  • Nothing applied from the tube. Lip and eye products are decanted onto a sanitized palette and taken with a fresh disposable applicator every time.
  • Nothing worked over broken skin. Cold sores, sunburn, cuts, weeping spots or an active infection and we stop, reschedule, and do not argue about it.
  • Ask us to show you. Genuinely. If you want to watch the spatula go in the bin, say so. Anyone doing this properly is pleased you asked rather than defensive.
Section 03

Time, Pressure And Consent

Three promises about how an appointment actually runs. All three cost us money, which is precisely why so few places make them.

  • The clock starts when hands go on. Consultation and changing time sit outside your booked hour. In a great many places a sixty minute massage is fifty minutes on the table and nobody mentions it.
  • Pressure is a number, agreed first. One to five, explained so it is not an abstraction, then checked at three set points during the treatment rather than asked once in the first two minutes.
  • Told before every strip. In waxing you know where the next one is and when it is coming. Being surprised is most of what makes it feel worse than it is.
  • Stop means stop, immediately. No explanation required, nobody talks you into continuing, and you pay only for what was done.
  • Covered except the working area. Towels tucked and secured rather than laid loosely, and you undress only to your own comfort level.
  • No commentary on your body. Not about hair, not about skin, not about anything. People carry a careless remark for years.
If you are holding your breath, it is too much. That is not toughness, it is a muscle bracing.

Private Room, Door Closed, Covered Throughout

Why this costs us money. Keeping the consultation outside the booked hour loses roughly ten minutes on every single appointment. Across a week that is a full day of chair time we do not bill for. It is still the right way to sell an hour.

Sixteen Artists, All Requestable By Name

Section 04

Artists You Can Ask For By Name

Anonymous staff are easy to schedule and impossible to build a relationship with. Every artist here is listed, linked and bookable individually.

  • Qualified and insured, checked not assumed. We ask to see both, and we actually verify them. A lapsed certificate is not something to discover after an incident.
  • Trial artist does your day. For bridal hair, bridal makeup and color, without substitution and without agency cover. If we cannot guarantee it for your date, we say so when you enquire.
  • Book the same person every time. Particularly worth doing for color and for intimate waxing, where continuity genuinely improves the result.
  • Every service page names its artist. You can see whose work you are booking before you commit, rather than finding out on the morning.
  • Written records, not memory. Every product, shade, placement and pressure noted, so your second appointment starts where the first one finished.
Section 05

What We Refuse To Claim

The beauty industry runs on a handful of claims that do not survive being asked about. Repeating them would be easier and would sell more. We would rather you could believe everything else on this site.

  • Massage does not release toxins. There are none to release. Drink water afterward because hydrated tissue recovers more comfortably, not because anything is being flushed out of you.
  • Body wraps do not cause inch loss. Any change in measurement is compression and fluid, and it is back within a day or two. What a wrap actually does is increase absorption, which is worth having on its own.
  • No hand breaks down scar tissue. Nobody generates that force. Deep tissue can improve how tissue moves around an old injury, which is a smaller and more accurate claim.
  • Nothing permanently lengthens a muscle. What changes is tone and tolerance. That is exactly why maintenance appointments exist rather than one miracle session.
  • A scrub will not change your body shape. It removes dead skin. That sounds modest and it is the entire point of the treatment.
  • Waxing is not cheaper than shaving. It costs more money and saves time, with finer regrowth. We are not going to dress that up as a saving.
And when a treatment is not the answer at all. Numbness, tingling, weakness in a limb, pain that wakes you at night, or swelling and heat in one leg all need a doctor rather than a therapist. We will say so and lose the booking, because the alternative is worse.
Section 06

Two Studios Under One Roof

Almost nobody does both properly. Having a workroom and a salon in the same building means the outfit and the look for the same day can be planned together instead of coordinated across three businesses.

The Erothots fashion studio workroom

The Fashion Studio

Patterns drafted, cloth cut and every seam finished in our own workroom. Two fittings as standard on made to measure, a third if the garment needs it, and collections produced in limited runs graded on real bodies rather than one sample size.

Bespoke styling includes an honest edit of what you already own, which is uncomfortable for about a minute and is most of the value.

The Erothots beauty salon treatment room

The Beauty Salon

Twenty treatments across seven categories, from a precision cut to bridal makeup, brows, nails, waxing and body work. Hair and makeup run in parallel on two chairs, which genuinely shortens a wedding morning.

Every category has its own page with the full price list, the standards we work to, and the things we will not do.

Section 07

How We Compare, Honestly

Not every salon does the things in the right column. Plenty are excellent. But these are the seven questions worth asking anywhere you book, and most places would rather you did not ask them.

Seven Questions Worth Asking Anywhere
The QuestionAt ErothotsCommonly Elsewhere
Is An Hour An HourSixty minutes hands on, consultation outside itFifty on the table, sold as sixty
Do You Double DipNever. One dip, then binnedRoutine, and rarely mentioned
Which Wax On Intimate AreasHard wax only, without exceptionStrip wax, because it is faster
How Is Pressure SetA number agreed first, checked three timesAsked once in the first two minutes
Can I Request An ArtistYes, and the trial artist does your dayWhoever the diary assigns
Do Prices Match The WebsiteExactly, every treatmentOften a starting price with extras
Will You Send Me ElsewhereYes, when it needs a doctorThe slot is filled either way
Section 08

What You Give Up By Choosing Us

Every one of these is a direct consequence of something above it. A studio that never turns anyone away is not being careful with anybody, and we would rather you read this before paying a deposit than after.

Trade Off 01

Closed Two Days A Week

Tuesday and Wednesday, and Saturday finishes at two. Fewer chairs and fewer hours is what a proper pace costs, and it genuinely makes booking harder.

Trade Off 02

Not The Cheapest

An hour that is actually an hour, tools that are actually sterilized and a second brush kit in rotation all cost money. If price is your first filter, somewhere else will beat us.

Trade Off 03

Some Dates Are Gone

Summer Saturdays go twelve to eighteen months ahead for bridal. If your date is close we will tell you immediately rather than holding you and hoping.

Trade Off 04

We Will Turn You Away

Oral isotretinoin, active infection, sunburn, a cold sore, or skin waxed in the last forty eight hours. You may have traveled across town and the answer will still be no.

Trade Off 05

Things We Do Not Offer

No laser, no injectables, and no facial or eyebrow waxing at all. Faces are threaded here. If laser is genuinely the better answer, we will say so.

Trade Off 06

Some Results Take Time

Waxing needs two to three weeks of growth and no shaving between. Deep tissue on a long standing problem needs a course. The first appointment is always the hardest.

If any of that changed your mind, it did its job. A studio that suits everybody suits nobody in particular, and we would far rather lose a booking here than lose one at the door.
Section 09

Questions People Ask Before Booking

What Makes Erothots Different From Other Salons

Every standard we work to is published on the service page it belongs to. Hygiene rules, timings, pressure scales, patch tests and the things we refuse to do. That means you can check whether we did what we said, which is a different proposition from being asked to trust us.

Are Your Prices Really The Same As The Website

Yes, on the homepage, the service page and at the desk. Anything variable, such as travel for on site bridal work or a custom waxing package, is quoted in writing before you commit. Nothing is added at checkout that was not agreed when you booked.

Do I Actually Get The Full Booked Time

Sixty minutes means sixty minutes of hands on you. The consultation before and getting dressed afterward sit outside the booked time. It is worth asking that question anywhere you book, because in a great many places a sixty minute treatment is fifty minutes of work.

Can I Request A Specific Artist

Yes, by name, on any service. For bridal hair, bridal makeup and color work the person who does your trial does your day, without substitution. If we cannot guarantee that for your date, we tell you when you enquire rather than six weeks out.

Is Everyone Qualified And Insured

Every artist, and we check rather than assume. We ask to see current qualifications and insurance and we verify them. A lapsed certificate is not something anybody should discover after an incident.

Why Do You Refuse Claims Other Salons Make

Because if one thing a therapist tells you turns out to be nonsense, you are entitled to wonder about the rest of it. Massage does not release toxins, wraps do not cause inch loss and no hand breaks down scar tissue. What these treatments genuinely do is real and does not need those claims attached.

Can I Book Fashion And Beauty In One Visit

Yes, and it is the main advantage of having both under one roof. A fitting and a beauty appointment can be scheduled back to back, and for weddings we build a written run sheet covering hair, makeup and the dress with a deliberate empty buffer in it.

What Will You Turn Me Away For

Oral isotretinoin within six months, an active infection or fever, a cold sore, sunburn, broken or weeping skin, an eye infection, or skin waxed within forty eight hours before a scrub. Some conditions need a doctor's clearance rather than a refusal. Tell us at booking and we will reschedule rather than turn you away at the door.

Do You Offer Laser Or Injectables

Neither, and we do not wax faces or eyebrows either. Facial hair is threaded here because wax lifts a layer of thin facial skin along with the hair. If laser is genuinely the better answer for you, we will say so, which costs us the booking and is the honest position.

Why Are You Closed Tuesday And Wednesday

Because working to the pace described on this page means fewer appointments per day, and two full days off keeps that sustainable for the artists. It does make booking harder and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are all available.

How Far Ahead Should I Book

For a single treatment, a week or two is usually comfortable. For bridal, secure the date twelve to eighteen months ahead if it is a summer Saturday, then arrange the trial four to six weeks before. For a full body wax or a long massage, aim for a fortnight.

What If I Am Not Happy

Say so during the appointment if you can, because almost everything is easier to change while you are still in the chair. If you would rather raise it afterward, contact us directly and it goes to the founders rather than into a form. We would genuinely rather hear it than read it in a review.
